Charlotte Coney is a London based photojournalist working between the UK and India. She covers breaking news, politics, protests, and public events in the UK while developing longer term visual stories internationally. Her work has been published by BBC, Channel 4, The Times, The Telegraph, and Daily Mail, among other publications.
In India, she collaborates with NGOs and community organisations to document projects centred on education, youth leadership, disability access, and rural development. Often working in village communities, her photography follows individuals whose experiences reflect wider social issues, from access to schooling and healthcare to opportunities for young people.
Working in a quiet, observational style, her photography focuses on everyday life and the spaces where personal stories intersect with wider social change. Through extended engagement with the people she photographs, her work documents how individuals and local organisations navigate structural challenges and how community led initiatives are shaping opportunities at a local level.
